Configure your TrialClouds site, customize widget appearance, and manage settings from your central dashboard.

Accessing Your Dashboard

Open Dashboard

Go to https://app.trialclouds.com

Sign In

Login with your account credentials.

Site

Navigate to sites from sidebar and click on gear icon to configure site settings.


Creating a New Site

A "site" in TrialClouds represents one domain configuration.

Adding Your First Site

If you've completed onboarding, your first site is already created. To add additional sites:

Click "Sites" in the left sidebar.

Click "Add Domain" button.

The site creation form opens.

Site Creation Form

Site Name

  • Friendly name for your site (internal use only)

  • Example: "Main Store", "US Shop", "UK Shop"

  • Helps identify sites if you manage multiple domains

Domain

  • Your website's domain where the widget will be installed

  • Format examples:

    • www.yourstore.com – Exact match

    • yourstore.com – Without www

    • yourstore.myshopify.com – Shopify domain

    • localhost – For local development

Logo (Optional)

  • Upload your store's logo to display in widget header

  • Recommended size: 200x60px (or similar ratio)

  • Formats: PNG, JPG, GIF

  • Transparent background: Recommended for best appearance

  • Displayed in widget top-left corner

How to Upload:

Click "Upload Logo".

Select image file from computer.

Preview appears after upload.

Save site to apply.

Site/Widget Settings (Advanced)

Click "Site Settings" or the settings icon to configure widget behavior.

  • Display Logo

    • Toggle: ON / OFF

    • When ON: Your uploaded logo shows in widget header

    • When OFF: No logo, more space for content

    • Recommended: ON if you have a logo

  • Display Branding

    • Toggle: ON / OFF

    • Controls "Powered by TrialClouds" footer text

    • When ON: Shows attribution

    • When OFF: No branding footer

    • Note: Some plans may require branding

  • Display Product Code

    • Toggle: ON / OFF

    • Shows Product ID/SKU in widget

    • When ON: Helpful for customer service, order tracking

    • When OFF: Cleaner interface

    • Recommended: OFF unless needed for support

  • Show Download Button

    • Toggle: ON / OFF

    • When ON: Customers can download try-on results

    • When OFF: View only, no download

    • Recommended: ON

  • Show Zoom Controller

    • Toggle: ON / OFF

    • When ON: Zoom in/out controls on result image

    • When OFF: No zoom, simpler interface

    • Recommended: ON for detailed product viewing

Site Status

  • Active: Widget loads, try-ons work

  • Inactive: Widget won't load

Toggle status to activate/deactivate without deleting the site configuration.

Save Your Site

  • Click "Update" button

  • Site is created and ready to use

  • You'll receive your Site ID


Understanding Your Site ID

After creating a site, you're assigned a unique Site ID.

What is Site ID?

  • Long alphanumeric string like: cmkozmnbi00012euxrl81rx69

  • Unique identifier for your site configuration

  • Required for embed script and Shopify theme settings

Where to Find It:

Go to Sites section.

Your Site ID is displayed under the site name.

Click the copy icon to copy to clipboard.

Security: Site ID is not highly sensitive but avoid sharing publicly when possible.


Getting Your Embed Code

Click on your site in the Sites list.

Find the "Embed Script" section.

Click "Copy to Clipboard".

The code looks like:

Managing Multiple Sites

If you run multiple stores or domains:

Adding Additional Sites

Click "Add Site" button.

Create a new site for each domain.

Each site gets a unique Site ID.

Install the script on each domain with its Site ID.

Use Cases for Multiple Sites:

  • Multi-brand retailer: Separate sites for each brand

  • Regional stores: US store, UK store, etc.

  • Staging & Production: Test site + live site

  • Different platforms: Shopify + WooCommerce (different domains)

Switching Between Sites:

  • Sites list shows all your sites β€” click any site to view details and configure it independently.


Editing an Existing Site

Go to Sites.

Click on the site you want to edit.

Click "Edit" or the settings icon.

Make changes:

  • Update domain

  • Upload new logo

  • Change theme color

  • Adjust settings toggles

Click "Update".

Note: Domain changes do not change the Site ID (same Site ID). Ensure the new domain matches your actual URL.


Activating and Deactivating Sites

To Deactivate

Open site details.

Toggle status to Inactive.

Save.

Effect: Widget stops loading on that domain. Useful for maintenance, testing, or pausing unused sites. Analytics and settings remain intact.

To Reactivate

Open site details.

Toggle status to Active.

Save.

Widget resumes working immediately.


Deleting a Site

Warning: Deletion is permanent!

Open site details.

Click "Delete" or the trash icon.

Confirm deletion in the dialog.

What Gets Deleted:

  • Site configuration

  • Associated analytics data (may be retained for billing)

  • Integration settings

What to Do First:

  • Remove embed script from your website

  • Export any analytics data you want to keep

Cannot be undone. Create a new site if you change your mind.


Domain Validation & Verification

TrialClouds verifies your site for security.

Domain Matching

  • Embed script checks if the current domain matches your configured domain

  • Mismatch results in widget not loading

Installation Verification

Dashboard shows if the widget was recently loaded from your domain. Status indicators:

  • βœ… Verified: Loaded in last 24 hours

  • ⏳ Pending: Not yet detected

  • ❌ Not Found: Install issues

To verify:

Visit your product page.

Click the try-on button (to trigger detection).

Dashboard updates within 24 hours.


Best Practices

Logo Guidelines

  • Keep it simple β€” complex logos may not scale well

  • Transparent background works on any widget background

  • Appropriate size β€” not too large (slows loading)

  • Test on mobile to ensure readability

Domain Configuration

  • Start specific with exact domain

  • Match configured domain to the actual URL

Settings Configuration

  • Enable useful features: Download button, zoom controls

  • Minimize distractions: only show what customers need

  • Test before deciding: try different combinations

  • Collect customer feedback on preferences


Troubleshooting

Problem: Widget doesn't load even with correct Site ID

Check:

  • βœ“ Domain in dashboard matches your actual domain exactly

  • βœ“ Site status is "Active"

  • βœ“ No typos in Site ID in embed script

  • βœ“ Clear browser cache and retry

Problem: Logo uploaded but doesn't appear in widget

Check:

  • βœ“ "Display Logo" setting is ON

  • βœ“ Image file uploaded successfully

  • βœ“ File format supported (PNG, JPG, GIF)

  • βœ“ File size reasonable (< 1MB)

  • βœ“ Hard refresh browser (Ctrl+Shift+R)

Problem: Dashboard shows "Not Found" even after installing

Check:

  • βœ“ Embed script actually present in page source (View Source)

  • βœ“ Site ID in script matches dashboard

  • βœ“ Visit product page and click button (triggers detection)

  • βœ“ Wait up to 24 hours for verification to update
